Why, yes it is fall here in New England. How could you tell?

wow. too beautiful. Here is a stanza sent to me by a friend today after our northern indiana trees started changing this week:
Roots longing to cling to earth While branches are raised to Heaven: Falling through the leaving's transfigured splendor, All is kept in gravitation toward loving's moment of surrender.
I could ask him who wrote it -- maybe Billy Collins? -- but the anonymity makes it float through the air and just be Truth.
