Map of Christianity & Islam
Here's a fascinating map of the distribution of Christianity and Islam in the world today. I didn't fully realize how much of the world adheres to either one or the other...
Because we like to mix charity and social work with a mission, so we feel like we are doing something useful, then we have great stories to tell the congregation back home? Most people don't feel like spreading Christianity is all that useful/safe - but handing out freebies to second world residents, now that is "giving" to the "poor" and that is worthy of a slide show. Being chased by an angry mob through the market and ending up in jail wouldn't make the Sunday School Approved cut.

I'm sitting here looking at this map and wondering why we're sending "missionaries" into Mexico, Ecuador, Italy, Spain, the Galapagos, etc.....???
I always wonder about that, too.
What's the reason for it?
I've been wondering about that for a very long time.
Because if we send them into the "green" area, they tend to lose body parts--like heads.
