A friend of mine told me that in winter here, the only things worth taking pictures of are snow and ice--he may be right. Here's a patch of ice that was growing in a small stream near out house. The color was there when I put on a polarizing filter. Cool, huh?

Brad this is beautiful! This time of year is awesome up here as well for capturing ice/snow shots. Don't you feel bad for the people living in all that glorious sun and warmth and don't get to experience the frigid wonders of the north? ;)
