Chances of men winning arguments

What do you think, is this the way it is?

  1. This is excellent. Maybe I'll use it in some of my marriage counseling sessions.

  3. I don't know. I tried to convince my wife that this was true, but she says "no way," so I guess she's right.

  4. It depends on what is meant by "winning" an argument. If winning is getting the other to agree that one is right, then the graph is wrong. Under this definition husbands can "win" the majority of arguments.

On the other hand, if winning means having an outcome that one is happy to live with, then the graph is pretty much correct.

  5. Hmmm...

This one doesn't really apply to me.

Do you have one for *how badly* men lose arguments?

  6. You mean you guys argue?

The real art is losing the argument in a way that you get what you really want.

  9. Sarah, you're absolutely right about "special powers"... it just takes guys awhile to realize them.

My own experiences are closer to your comments, John & Kent. I've usually lost before I've started.

Very funny Ray... living out the graph just talking about it!

  10. This raises the an important philosophical question:

If a man says something in the forest and his wife isn't there to hear him, is he still wrong?

  11. Believe it or not Michael... some years ago, my wife bought me a t-shirt with that slogan on it.

I think she was trying to tell me something.
